I now know that they are like links to your content. On my blog at first I didnt really know how to use them but now its great to use them. When I write a workshop for instance I use a tag to let my students know thats the page about 'whatever it is' ie tag WORKSHOP 1 and it comes up on the column of tags for the viewer. Im not explaining this too well but go to my blog and you'll see the list of tags.
